Over $45,000 in cash, prizes and benefits will be awarded to this year’s winning screenwriters and Official Finalists.

Judges will bestow awards in the following tiers for each of the competitive entry categories:

  • Grand Prize Winner
  • Gold Winner
  • Silver Winner
  • Bronze Winner
  • 12 Official Finalists

In addition, one Grand Jury Prize will be awarded to the overall best screenplay selected from among all competition categories as determined by our Official Jury.

Advisory Meeting with Rob Gallagher and Myke Friscia of Gallagher Literary Agency

Myke Friscia Senior Vice President and Head of Development: After five years of film production experience, Myke earned a Certificate in Feature Film writing from the UCLA writers program. Myke's a professional screenwriter and along with working at Gallagher Literary, he works for some of the top contests in the industry, and works for Kevin Spacey's entertainment industry news website, SHOWWATCHER.COM, and has earned a B.A. in TV/FILM from CSUN.

Scriptwriters Network Membership 
The Scriptwriters Network, founded in 1986, is a volunteer-driven organization created by writers for writers and industry professionals. The Network serves its members by providing educational programming, enhancing their awareness of the realities of the business, developing access and opportunity through alliances with industry professionals, and furthering the cause and quality of writing in the entertainment industry. A membership is as varied as the guest speaker list, which includes Movie Screenwriters, Showrunners, Executive Producers, Directors, Television Writers, Video Game & Comic Book Writers, Novelists, Actors, Editors, Agents, Managers, Professors, Career Experts, Accountants, and many more. Advisory Meeting with Award-Winning Producer, Peter Katz
Peter Katz is an award-winning producer/manager, who has produced several critically acclaimed feature films that have premiered at festivals around the world, including AFI Fest and the Rome Film Festival. He was a producer on Mortuary, helmed by legendary director Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre; Poltergeist), followed by Pop Skull, directed by Adam Wingard (The Blair Witch Project 3; The Guest). Katz has also produced a variety of short films, including Already Gone, starring Shawn Ashmore (X-Men; The Following TV show) and Harry Shum Jr. (Glee), and recently a segment for the anthology film ABC’s of Death 2, directed by E.L. Katz (Cheap Thrills)].

Additionally, Katz has been a speaker at various events, including StoryWorld Conference, USC School of Cinema, and was a coach for Transmedia Startup Weekend in San Francisco.
